Jon Klem, Chairman of the Board

Mr. Klem is Chairman of the Board and a shareholder of Flow Applications. He brings 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management with large and small technology companies to Flow Apps. Mr. Klem is currently an executive and part owner of a private cyber security services company that focuses on protecting the nation’s cyber infrastructure. Mr. Klem has been an executive officer in two public companies and the Chief Executive Officer of a private equity backed technology provider. His experience spans both domestic and international responsibilities in government and private sector markets, partnership management and new business development. He also held executive positions in business development at Planning Research Corporation, now a part of Northrop Grumman. He began his career with Computer Sciences Corporation after serving in the Army as a Military Intelligence Officer. He is a graduate of Knox College with a BA in International Relations and is a Distinguished Military Graduate. He serves on the board of Flow Applications and is an Emeritus board member of the Make a Wish Foundation of the Mid Atlantic. He lives with his wife in Vienna, Virginia.
Tom O'Toole, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. O’Toole is Chief Executive Officer of Flow Apps, and as part of the senior management team, he is involved with the development of strategy and innovation for the overall direction of the company as it enters the clinical diagnostic, vaccine, and therapeutic markets. Prior to Flow Apps, he worked at the world renown Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for nearly 30 years in a variety of senior management positions. He retired as CDC’s Chief Licensing Officer in November 2008, and his experience spans the diagnostic, vaccine, and therapeutic components of biotechnology industry. He has worked for several Assistant Surgeon Generals; has served on national and international committees; and was a voting member on the DHHS Technology Transfer Policy Board.
He serves on the Board of Directors at the Georgia Biomedical Partnership, and at the Metro Atlanta Biosciences Council. In May 2003, Tom was a finalist for “Outstanding Manager of the year” for the 30th Annual Federal Executive Board Awards. He has been recognized by DHHS Secretaries Tommy Thompson (2004) and Michael Leavitt (2007) for his receipt of the Award for Excellence in Technology Transfer, and by Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue. In 2006, he was a recipient of the Biolink Ireland Life Science award. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1978, and received his Master’s in Public Health from the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill in 1992. He was also inducted into the honorary public health society of Delta Omega at UNC in 1992.

Stephen Godfrey, M.D. serves as Medical Director for Flow Applications, Inc. Dr. Godfrey is a certified Diplomat of the American Board of Pathology in both anatomic and clinical pathology. Dr Godfrey is a Fellow in the College of American Pathologists and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Dr. Godfrey is the perennial Secretary-Treasurer for the Society of St. Louis Pathologists, and serves on the Board of Governors for the University of Missouri Medical Alumni Association, having received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Missouri Medical School. Dr. Godfrey holds a Master of Arts degree in Health Services Management from Webster University. Dr. Godfrey's career in pathology and laboratory medicine includes two years as Chief Medical Officer for Unity Labs LLC, a joint venture between Quest Diagnostics and the Unity Health hospital integrated delivery network in St. Louis. Dr. Godfrey has published scholarly articles in several prominent medical journals. Dr. Godfrey’s current medical staff appointments include St. Louis University Hospital. Dr. Godfrey is presently the Medical Director for Path Counsel Pathology Legal Consultations and for Peace of Mind Private Autopsy Services.
Michael H. Hickey, President

Mr. Hickey is President, Chief Operating Officer, shareholder and a member of the Board of Directors of Flow Applications. Mr. Hickey brings 30 years of experience in Medical Diagnostics sales, marketing, product and project management with leading companies in Immuno-diagnostics and Blood cell analysis. His experience spans the Clinical Laboratory Industry in both products and services delivery with responsibilities in government, private sector and health care markets. Mr. Hickey has lead teams in the development and launch of laboratory products in Flow cytometry, Hematology and Immuno-diagnostics. Mr. Hickey is a Board certified, licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist with a bachelor's of Science degree from The George Washington University Medical School. His scholastic area of concentration emphasized Quality control management, Pharmacology and Clinical Chemistry.

Mr. Johnson is co-founder of Flow Applications, and has been general council and a board member since. 1999.
A 1977 summa cum laude graduate from the University of Illinois and a 1980 graduate from Loyola law school in Chicago, Mr. Johnson brings over 32 years of legal and litigation experience to Flow.
Mr. Johnson lives with his wife and children in suburban Chicago..
